Why the Media will be Culpable in the Next Major Race Riot

Fifteen years ago today, Los Angeles was in the midst of the largest riot to ever take place in this country’s history. Plagued by poverty, lack of quality schools, lack of access to adequate preventive health care, and a lack of employment and career opportunities, Los Angeles merely represented the only thing that could happen in order to get folks with power to pay attention to the societal ills in South L.A. that continued to persist.

And America is on the verge of watching history repeat itself. Only this time, it won’t be contained to just one or two cities simultaneously. The whole country could easily erupt all at once.
