COLEMAN LEARNS THE ABC'S OF S-E-X IN THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE

UPDATE: BOARD MOVES TO BAN THE BROTHER FROM TEACHING FOR LIFE

BY Lisa Donovan (Sun Times)

The lame-duck Sandridge School Board is pushing to ban former Principal Leroy Coleman -- caught on tape with two teachers -- from working at any school on the grounds of immorality or unprofessional conduct.

The decision drew cheers and some shouts of "Thank you" and "Let's hear it for our children" from parents. "I'm so happy. I'm very happy. The board finally did something to earn their title this year," said Jenny Kaminski, 32, of Lynwood, who has three children in Sandridge.

The resolution calls for the district to file a complaint with the regional superintendent of schools for Cook County, demanding Coleman's teaching and administrative certificate be suspended. After that, school officials will go to the state to seek permanent revocation of his teaching and administrative certificate.
