SNOOP v. OPRAH: OUR UNRESOLVED ISSUES WITH HIP-HOP AND HIM

SHOULD OPRAH LET SNOOP BE ON HER SHOW?

Last week, the hip-hop star's name was mentioned on Oprah's gabfest in a discussion about lyrical content and the effect this bullcrap has on our children.

But despite Winfrey's opposition to graphic rap lyrics, Dogg -- real name Calvin Broadus -- wants to sit down and talk with her on her show.

"I'm a fan of Oprah. I feel like whatever they're saying about me, negative or positive, I appreciate it", Snoop was quoted as saying.

"I'm Snoop Dogg -- you can't (badmouth) me because I do so much right and I'm the person who represents me the best."

The hell we can't. That Imus defense went out with the 8-track, my brother!

Broadus goes on, "Snoop Dogg is a father, he's a (football) coach, he's a teacher. I'm a man, and I do make mistakes and I'm willing to listen and learn. But a lot of times, they don't know me, so they have to speak on what they feel. But it is what it is."

"I appreciate you, Oprah. I've never been on your show, so thank you for bringing my name up on your show. I'm sure that'll mean another million record sales. Thank you."

Again, it's always about the cheddar. Family, we need to put Snoop on blast and stop co-signing on the excuses, justifications, and rationales given for calling women bitches and hos and brothers the n-word.

You can't sit up there and coach kids on the field and teach them important life lessons, then get high in public, be convicted of multiple felonies, promote porn videos with your name above the title, and throw-up gang signs while your ass is trying to sell the 2 million dollar crib you're rockin' in the suburbs.

Like Peaches without Herb, this ain't flyin' with us. Period!
