BOOTZ: A REALITY SHOW ALUM

Putting "American Idol" aside, it's amazing how stars are now made from people who simply have appeared on so-called reality shows. What used to make a star in film or television has in many respects been supplanted by dozens of supposedly ordinary folks who have had a camera (or several cameras) shoved in their faces while they survived on an island, raced around the world, sought a spouse or any other dozen or so produced situations.

This past Thursday evening, "Flavor of Love 2" hottie and bad girl Larissa
aka Bootz spoke to a room full of girls in the foster care system during an annual camp facilitated by the HerShe Group in Los Angeles.

When she walked in the room most of the adults didn't have a clue who she was, but the girls age 13 - 18 instantly recognized her.

Larissa spoke candidly about her experiences on both "Flavor of Love 2" and "Charm School" and how in most respects her personality was shaped by the editor's shears. "That's not who I really am," she told the captivated girls. However, now the former hair stylist admits, she does have a career in entertainment that she is shaping. "But I still want to do hair," she added.
