CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The search for David Munis, a National Guard sergeant with sniper training suspected of shooting his wife to death while she sang with a band in a restaurant and bar, is over.

Munis was flown to a hospital in Laramie with a self-inflicted gunshot chest wound, Capt. Jeff Schulz said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities found a suicide note scribbled on boxes of Munis' belongings near where he had been found. A 4-5 page letter basically confessing to his wife's murder was reportedly left at the couple's home.

A mother of four, including one child with David, Robin Munis was shot in the head just after midnight Saturday as she sang with the classic rock and country group Ty and the Twisters.
