KATRINA DECEIT, INCOMPETENCE, AND MORE LIES

EX-FEMA DIRECTOR ADMITS LYING AFTER KATRINA

Former Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Michael Brown continued criticizing Bush's handling of Katrina, while also admitting he lied to all of us immediately after the hurricane.

Brown recently told an audience at the Dole Institute at the University of Kansas that America still is not prepared for massive, large-scale catastrophes.

"The George Bush administration was (and is) so focused on terrorism and other stuff they turned a deaf ear." Brown also criticized Michael Chertoff, the secretary of Homeland Security, saying, "I think Michael Chertoff was clueless and didn't know what was going on."

FEMA'S unpreparedness to deal with Katrina resulted in more than 1,800 people dying and more than $80 billion in damages. As of today, the place is still a mess and bureaucratic red tape is to blame (read here).

When asked why he lied, Brown said, "People get fired for telling the truth. But lyying is a systemic problem in Washington." It's also perjury, ala Scooter Libby.

And the reason these folks still have their jobs is.....?

IT REALLY PISSES US OFF EVERYTIME WE WATCH THIS

DAMNIT, DO SOMETHING BUSH - NOW!!!
