Eddie Murphy's baby's mama Melanie Brown has secretly married her boyfriend in Las Vegas.
Mr. & Mrs Stephen Belafonte tied the knot on June 6, according to a marriage license filed in Clark County, Nevada and first reported by celeb gossip site PerezHilton.com.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Scary Spice's rep said: "Regarding the marriage, Mel and Stephen have know each other for many years and were great friends first. Now they are deeply in love. The two are very happy together."
The couple first got together when Brown was pregnant. "He was a really good friend and good support to me during my pregnancy," she told PEOPLE in a recent interview. "He's a really sweet guy."Locked in a bitter paternity battle with 'Donkey' over their daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown, last week, Murphy released a statement acknowledging paternity and payment of child support that continues to be disputed by Brown.
