Collins Spencer Is Michael Vick's Spokeshole: Why Does This Brother Look So Familiar?

Over the last few days, everyone is going Michael Vick crazy. Who's that African American lawyer? And what's up with the smooth guy doing the public relations piece on this nightmare?

Meet Collins Spencer III, who told CNN Wednesday that “nothing has been decided yet” in regards to Vick copping a plea deal.

If you think you know this Black man, it's not your imagination. Spencer runs a PR firm that Vick’s defense attorneys hired to spin their client’s debacle. And the brother knows exactly what he’s doing, especially when he speaks to CNN — because Spencer used to work there.

He most recent placement was at Atlanta’s WSB-TV, a Cox Television station, where he was a morning and noon news anchor. Spencer came over from his stint at CNN and CNN Headline News, where he was a daytime anchor. And before that, he was at Fox News.

From what we understand, Spencer was brought on board Vick’s camp at the end of last month.

That “camp” also includes a slew of attorneys, most notably Billy Martin from Washington, who just happens to be married to NPR's Michel Martin.
