No One Does Revenge Better Than A Black Woman!

The concept of revenge has been around since the dawn of time. Biblical references inform us that revenge is immoral; history shows us that revenge can be catastrophic and divorce proceedings tell us that revenge is costly.

That said, a few years ago, I exacted my own revenge and I must admit, it felt as if a burden had been lifted off of my shoulders. After a bad breakup, I could not shake the feeling of being “wronged” by how my ex-boyfriend decided to end the relationship. I could have called and left lewd messages on his voicemail, sent threatening emails, or slashed his tires, but these techniques would not have captures the essence of the pain I was feeling. I needed to send a message that would set the standard for effective, yet legal, revenge methods for the general public to use after I am long gone.

After receiving a tip from a friend, I created a personal profile for my ex on a website for those interested in an “alternative lifestyle.” I created and controlled his user options for the website, chatted with those interested in meeting him, and developed his risqué relationship profile. Yes, I did take him off of the website (eventually), but I still smile whenever people meet me and say “so you are the one that developed ‘that’ on-line profile for your ex!”

Movie plots, television programming, and song lyrics have taught us step-by-step procedures to follow while seeking revenge. Blu Cantrell detailed her vengeful ways in her song “Hit ‘Em Up.” In “A Thin Line between Love and Hate”, we secretly cheered for Lynn Whitfield’s character even though she was mentally unstable.
