R. Kelly's 'Trapped in the Closet', But Is He Being Released From Serving Jail Time???
R. Kelly had Target (as in "Attention Target shoppers") mainstays running to the music section days ago to pick up his latest installment of "Trapped in the Closet" version something or other, of his musical drama snippets.
They're entertaining and cute to watch - once.
If you're a fan, then it's not a big deal to pay to find out who's hiding in Robert's room in this latest installment. But, stand in line at Target? - We can wait.
Meanwhile, MTO is reporting that while the R Kelly trial is scheduled to take place next month in Chicago's Cook County, there there may not be a trial after all.
If Trial Goes, Public Will See R. Kelly Videotape
Why? because the talented 40-year-old singer and state prosecutors have continued their efforts to plead out the case. If the Attorney General is unable to get the alleged victim to say in front of 12 jurors that she was the then 14 year-old-girl in the video, it becomes shaky at best to secure a conviction on any of the 14 child pornography counts.
One scenario has Kelly admitting to one charge or a reduced offense and receiving credit for time served (meaning he would not serve ANY additional time in custody). Although a judge would have to co-sign on such a disposition, this could be a win-win for both sides and finally put this pissy ordeal to rest. Stay tuned!
