FOLKS WHO GET IT: Charleston Firefighter and Family Man Charles "Chuck" Overstreet

3BAAS Media Group is proud to bestow on Charles “Chuck” Overstreet our "Outstanding Role Model Award."

We believe that it's important that traditional and new media honor and celebrate African Americans who promote positive community activity and involvement through education.

Overstreet was officially bestowed the recognition at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia

Chuck Overstreet has been a longtime leader of his community. His influence has been a contributing factor in the lives of his younger brothers, daughters, granddaughter, nieces and nephews. Raised on Charleston’s West Side, Overstreet has been a proud member of the city’s Fire Department for over 14 years. He sings in the church choir, serves as the stand-in church bus driver, is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and is a former Stonewall Jackson football standout. His courageous actions on a daily basis exemplify the true meaning of being an outstanding citizen and dedicated family man.

Here at 3BAAS, we understand the importance of role models in urban areas and hope that Chuck Overstreet's daily walk will motivate others into action. Congratulations Chuck and know that your work is not going unnoticed!
