DO YOU KNOW THIS GREAT MAN?

IF NOT, YOU SHOULD! Benjamin Elijah Mays is perhaps best known as the longtime president of Morehouse College in Atlanta. He was also a significant mentor to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. and was among the most articulate and outspoken critics of segregation before the rise of the modern civil rights movement in the United States. And it was also his birthday, yesterday. He was born August 1, 1895.

HAPPY, er belated, BIRTHDAY to a great man.

“Every man and woman is born into the world to do something unique and something distinctive and if he or she does not do it, it will never be done.” -- Benjamin Mays
