During a writer's conference this past weekend, Nan Talese, the publisher of James Frey's "A Million Little Pieces" said Oprah Winfrey exhibited "fiercely bad manners" when she and her client appeared on O's show, reports the LA Times. "You don't stone someone in public" Talese said of the way Ms Winfrey pounded them with questions after Frey admitted fabricating parts of his book that she had previously endorsed.
A four minute video clip of Talese's comments is now up on CSPAN2's BookTV. Why bash the queen of media and book endorsements on an old topic? Hmm, do you think this was a stunt by the publisher to perhaps sell more books?
