SECOND HAND SMOKE: THE BAN GROWS

By now, if anyone does not know the health dangers of cigarette smoking then they have their heads in the clouds. Literally. Most of the people who light 'em up start during their early adolescent years.

According to the American Cancer Society, many African-American teens who smoke start before the age of 14.

Unfortunately, for those who have opted out from picking up the cancer causing habit, the dangers of second hand smoke, not to mention the inconvenience of having to smell the stuff, still affects them. Over the last few years a steady tightening of laws in America--especially states like California--have banned or curtailed the habits of the nicotine addicted to protect the innocent. Now England joins the fray as a new law went into effect yesterday to ban smoking in many public venues. To read more, go here.
