Last Night's Bottom 3: Michael, Carly And Syesha OK I must be totally out of touch with American Idol 2008 because the above picture shows last nights bottom three. All the blogs I have read and reviews I have seen on TV predicted that either Carly Smithson or Syesha Mercado would be getting kicked off the show, well they were all wrong! Leaving the show was surprise, Michael Johns.
OK, the two Blonds last Tuesday did 'all right" but please, there is no flavor going on in this show. Syesha is the soul of the season and if 'rocker girl' Smithson would just cover up those tattoos, America could focus on the fact that the girl can sing her a** off. Note, when all the contestants had their final group song Carly Smithson, ala' Patti Labelle, had the bulk of the solo work that landed squarely on top of that chorus of bland vanilla the rest of them were putting out.
