Baltimore Ravens quarterback Steve McNair will announce his retirement at a news conference at team headquarters this afternoon.
The news was reported on NFL Network and is on the Ravens' official web site.
The news comes as a surprise; the Baltimore Sun reported today that McNair is "hoping to keep his 13-year NFL career going after a turnover-marred, injury-filled 2007
