FALLEN SOLDIERS IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN: STARTING THE WEEK WITH THE PROPER PERSPECTIVE: 1-28-2008

THIS WEEK, THE PENTAGON RELEASED THE NAMES OF 6 SOLDIERS KILLED IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN:

Army LTC Richard J Berrettini, 52, of Wilcox, PA
Army PFC Keith E Lloyd, 26, of Milwaukee, WI
Marine LCpl Curtis A Christensen Jr, 29, of Collingswood, NJ
Army PFC Danny L Kimme, 27, of Fisher, IL
Army PFC David H Sharrett II, 27, of Oakton, VA
Army SPC John P Sigsbee, 21, of Waterville, NY

As of Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at least 3,935 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes eight military civilians. At least 3,200 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers.
