Did You Really Think The Sistah Would Keep Them?
After admitting to steroid use, Marion Jones returned all five medals she won in the Sydney Olympics in 2000, her lawyer confirmed to PEOPLE. "She has returned the medals," attorney Henry DePippo said Monday. "She's not going to comment on the matter while it's pending in court but the medals were returned today."
Jones won three gold medals and two bronze medals during the Sydney games. Two of the medals – one gold and one bronze – she won as part of a four-woman relay team. A source close to Jones told PEOPLE she was extremely concerned about what will happen to the medals given to the other members of those relay teams. "She deeply regrets any impact this may have on her former teammates and offers her sincere heartfelt apology to all of them," the source said.
