With Barack Building His Latino Clout, Why In The Hell Is Ralph Nader Playa Hatin'?
"The Freaks Come Out At Night" Song Is Blaring In My Head Right Now!
While Barack Obama has just received the endorsement of Ceasar Chavez's granddaughter, Christine Chavez, in Texas, Ralph Nader had the audacity to announce today he will run for president as a third-party candidate.
Criticizing the top White House contenders as too close to big business and pledging to repeat a bid that will "shift the power from the few to the many," Nader, 73, said most people are disenchanted with the Democratic and Republican parties due to a prolonged Iraq war and a shaky economy."
The half-crazed, please give me some attention consumer advocate known for car and environmental safety concerns also blamed tax and other corporate-friendly policies under the Bush administration that he said have left many lower- and middle-class people in debt.
Well, it is, what it is. One of the benefits of being a content spirit is you tend not to worry about things you have no control over. There are those who remember the loss of Al Gore to George Bush in 2000. Nader is said to have taken away votes that would have otherwise gone to Gore if he had not been in the race.
When one first hears the news of Nader running for president a third time, it is understandable if one were to get concerned, especially if he or she is a Barack Obama supporter. However, there really is very little reason to be.
