OH NO! FIVE BLACK CHILDREN DIE IN PITTSBURGH HOUSE FIRE

Fire Kills Five Children Ages 2 to 7

(AP) Authorities said the fire was reported around 1:20 a.m. this morning. When firefighters arrived at the scene in Pittsburgh's East Liberty section, flames were shooting from all three floors of the building and quickly spread to the two adjoining homes.

The children's bodies were found on the second floor.

Neighbor Cynthia Harris saw what happened, "Both houses were on fire -- that house and the one next door, and then the house all the kids and their mom lived in, and there was two other neighbors' kids and their mom lived."

They are also looking for a 17-year-old female babysitter who was supposed to be watching the kids. Reports are indicating that the mother was not at home and the fire may have started because the children were playing with matches.

As many 12 people may have been living in the residence. Two children were taken to West Penn hospital. Their condition is unknown as well as the whereabouts of the fathers.
