Black Man Out For "Happy" Whites Gets 240 Years
Associated Press is reporting that a New York judge recently sentenced a slave museum escapee to 240 years in prison for taking hostages in a bar and telling patrons that "white people are going to burn tonight."
The judge told Steven Johnson that he'd forfeited his "right to live in society." The closeted pyromaniac (unconfirmed) and diagnosed mental patient (confirmed) was convicted earlier of attempted murder, assault and other charges, including some designated as hate crimes.
Johnson invaded a bar in Manhattan's East Village in 2002 carrying several pistols, a samurai sword and a container of kerosene. He told cops he looked for "happy" white people to avenge the mistreatment of blacks. He shot and wounded three, including a police officer, and sprayed kerosene on several customers, threatening to set them on fire before finally being subdued.
