A Message to Ms. Vivica: Don’t Let the Smooth Taste Fool Ya’
Be Content Black Woman...
You're Allowed
O.K. Ms. Vivica, as it pertains to your most recent DUI arrest - if it's true - I will give you this one. You got caught up.
It can happen to any of us. Girl, take this experience as a wake up call and get a grip!
I have to hand it to you. I know it’s hard out here for a pimp – and hell – everyone else for that matter. But, you are more than this. You made a mistake. We all do, so I’m not about to judge another sister. However, what I am going to do is extend a hand to you in the murky waters of fame and shame.
One of the things I have always admired about you is your ability to get your hustle on. You understand the value of re-inventing yourself and keeping your game tight – although, I don’t know what the hell you were thinking when you hooked up with crazy ass 50 Cents whose more like 5 cents with all his raunchy lyrics…but, I digress.
You are beautiful. No need to state the obvious. You represent Black women well most of the time. If you haven’t yet figured it out, this too shall pass.
This is nothing but a sign that you need to take some time for you. You can afford to do that – no matter what you may think or what anyone else might be telling you or pressuring you to do. There is nothing more important in this world than coming to terms with who one really is.
This fame game can really have your mind turned out. Find a space and a moment and ask for unadulterated spiritual truth and discover the real value of loving yourself for who you are and not merely what your do. Acting is what you do. It’s not who you are. And know that you are always more than your next gig.
Just 2 cents from someone worth a hell of lot more than 50.
Be blessed, girl. You're priceless!
