Float, Float On!

Swimmer, And His Name Is Bad Brother

Breaking records is the least of Cullen Jones' worries.

The 22-year-old's life already plays like a movie - grows up in New York's Bronx where drive-by shootings, violence and drugs were just another day in the hood - dreams of one day becoming a top competitive world athlete.

Rather then being another sad statistic, his parents scrape together enough money to send him to a private school where they introduce him to the concept that maybe black folks can swim. It's been on ever since.

Last year, Jones broke his first world record as a member of the U.S. 4x100 meters freestyle relay swim team. He finished ranked number one in the world in the 50m. Favored to win gold at the world championships and possibly next year's Beijing Olympics, he's seems happy right now just doing his thing and inspiring African-Americans to float on.

It's great seeing brothers bring their A-game, and this one's making a splash!
