Did The Makeup Make Him Do It???
Crossdresser and former Chicago Bulls badboy Dennis Rodman has been charged with spousal abuse, brandishing a deadly weapon and trying to dissuade a witness in connection with a domestic violence incident involving his girlfriend at a Century City hotel in April.
"His girlfriend of four years sustained visible physical injuries," said Nick Velasquez, the city attorney's spokesman.
A one-time Los Angeles Laker, Detroit Piston and Bulls rebounder, Rodman must appear in court May 22 even though the three charges are misdemeanors because he is a defendant in a domestic violence case. Expect to have the court impose a restraining order as a condition of remaining out on bail. If convicted, he'll be required to attend a domestic violence course, pay a large fine, probation for at least 3 years, and prohibition from gun possession for years to come. We won't even talk about jail time, which you can be sure prosecutors will be demanding!
Having worked with these types of cases, the real issue here is addiction, most likely drugs and alcohol, but I would not rule out sex addiction as well!
The incident took place April 30 at the Intercontinental Hotel, where police arrested the 47-year-old African American baller at about 10:15 p.m. Officers said Rodman hit a woman who sustained injuries to her arms.
