Children's Protective Services took custody of a baby after her father put her in a microwave oven
With her daddy facing felony charges, the two month-old will be placed in foster care once she's released from where doctors have already performed two skin grafts. CPS has asked that no family member be allowed to visit the child.
Call us crazy, but that's probably wise under the circumstances.
A Galveston, Texas grand jury indicted 19-year-old Joshua Royce Mauldin of Warren, Arkansas after hearing evidence that he placed his daughter in a motel microwave oven for 10 to 20 seconds. The child suffered burns on the left side of her face and to her left hand.
Mauldin, who said he came to Galveston with his wife and mother because he was called to be a preacher, told police that he put his daughter in the microwave because he was under stress. He blamed Al Sharpton -- we mean the devil -- for making him do it.
