NICOLE IS PREGNANT & BRITNEY IS DIVORCED, SO WHY IS GARY COLEMAN'S ARREST KILLING OUR BUZZ?

PROVO, Utah - While Kim "Tootie" Fields enjoys motherhood and marriage, Arnold is getting cited for disorderly conduct after witnesses said they saw him in a heated argument with a woman in a parking lot.

Whatcha talkin' 'bout Willis???

That's right, Gary Coleman was busted for disorderly conduct last Friday family.

The 39 year-old former child superstar (Don't you feel old?) was allegedly with a woman inside his vehicle discussing their relationship when two people saw the diminutive brother hit the steering wheel with his hands, Capt. Cliff Argyle said.

BRIT & SHAR JACKSON'S BABY DADDY OFFICIALLY NO MORE

"Mr. Coleman was very excited and loud. ... At one point he exited his vehicle, waving his arms, yelling and screaming," Argyle said. "Vehicles were unable to exit the parking lot because of Mr. Coleman's actions." He cooperated with officers who were called to the scene, Argyle said.

RICHIE ALMOST 4 MONTHS PREGNANT

The disorderly conduct citation is a misdemeanor punishable by up to three months in jail and a $750 fine. In many instances, these charges are reduced to infractions to get rid of them and avoid having a trial.

His other run-ins with the court system are well documented. In 1999, he pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace after he punched an autograph-seeker he claimed insulted him.

Coleman, who once fought a bitter legal battle with his parents over whether he was fit to handle his own affairs, moved to Santaquin, about 55 miles south of Salt Lake City, in 2005.

Of course we all remember him as Todd Bridges little brother on the sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes," which aired from 1978 to 1986. That is when we weren't confusing him with "Webster's" Emanuel Lewis.

MICHAEL VICK'S CO DEFENDANT PLEADS GUILTY TO DOGFIGHTING: WILL TONY TAYLOR TURN ON THE BLACK BALLER?

Tony Taylor, 34, of Hampton, Va., entered his plea in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities, and conspiring to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture.

One of Atlanta Falcon's Quarterback's Michael Vick's co-defendants, Taylor also agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors. Taylor said he was not promised any specific sentence in return for his cooperation with the government.

Codefendant Says Michael Vick Funded Ring

U.S District Judge Henry Hudson asked Taylor, "You're pleading guilty and taking your chances, right?"

Taylor responded, "Yes." He faces a maximum of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Taylor and his attorney, Stephen Hudgins of Newport News, refused to answer reporters' questions as they left the federal courthouse after the 15-minute hearing.

Vick, the star quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, and two other co-defendants pleaded not guilty last week to similar charges.

Federal prosecutors also allege that Taylor helped buy pit bulls and killed at least two dogs that performed poorly in test fights.

Vick, along with 35-year-old Purnell Peace of Virginia Beach and 28-year-old Quanis Phillips of Atlanta, are scheduled for trial Nov. 26. They remain free without bond.

BARRY BONDS DON'T YOU DARE PUNK OUT OF THE ALL-STAR HOME RUN DERBY

Let me make this clear: I don't like Barry Bonds. I believe he cheating the game of baseball and is poised to break Hank Aaron's record only because he used illegal performance-enhancing drugs.

Making matters even worse, he doesn't speak to the media frequently, and is a jerk to people on and off the field.

But if the guy supposedly got voted into the All-Star game by the fans, and if he's about to break the record without us being able to do anything about it, then the least he can do is put on a show for the fans at his home park.

Yes, you heard me correctly. Barry Bonds owes it to the fans and to baseball to participate in the Home Run Derby at AT&T Park. He has no excuse not to.

His team is terrible, and definitely out of the race. He's also at 751 meaning he's close enough to the record where even if he goes in a Bobby Abreu post-derby slump, he can still break the all-time record. He has admitted to taking flaxseed oil -- and based on Game of Shadows, he took performance-enhancers for himself -- to get better and compete with inferior players who had usurped his play on the field. It was not to make money or to entertain fans, it was to be better than everyone else.

So for once, Barry, I implore you, do what's right. Participate in the Home Run Derby. Your performance-enhancing substance displays of power on the field have no place in games that matter. In an exhibition designed solely for purposes of pure fan entertainment, they're perfect. We know you're going to break the record.

The least you can do is go out with a bang, slugging in the derby in your home park. If you don't do it, you'll be proving once again to everyone out there that you're a jerk. You have no reason not to participate, so do what's right, and give the fans a thrill. It's the least you can do.

BEING GAY IS STRAIGHT SHOT TO STARDOM FOR BLACK KENTUCKY SPRINTER

This Brother Is On His Way To Making History!

INDIANAPOLIS — She was trying to stay focused on her 200-meter final, but Torri Edwards did not want to miss watching Tyson Gay run the same distance Sunday afternoon at the U.S. championships.

What she and 7,407 spectators saw means everyone will be watching Gay closely between now and the 2008 Olympics.

"That was phenomenal," Edwards said.

Despite a slight headwind, Gay won in 19.62 seconds, the second-fastest 200 in history. Only Michael Johnson's world record of 19.32 from the 1996 Olympics remains ahead.

"A lot of people think it's reachable, but it's extremely far to 19.32," Gay said after completing a 100-200 meters double at the meeting, the U.S. trials for August's world championships he.

"I was running scared. I wasn't thinking about any time. I was trying to get away from (world silver medalist) Wallace Spearmon as fast as I could."

Stardom now is a lot closer to Gay, 24, who describes himself as "just a country boy from Lexington, Kentucky." By the stopwatch, his performance at the national meet was the best 100-200 double in history.

HIS AIRNESS HANDS HIS SEPTOR OVER TO KING JAMES

Michael Jordan was giving much love and praise to young buck LeBron James for leading the Cavaliers to victory over the Pistons in the Eastern Conference finals.

The Cavaliers advanced to the Finals for the first time in their 37-year history.

Kobe who? Lakers What?

"What just transpired was something I felt was needed for the league, was needed for Cleveland, was needed for LeBron," Jordan said in Monday editions of the Chicago Tribune.

James, 22, dominated Game 5 against the Pistons, scoring Cleveland's final 25 points in the victory.

Jordan, who won six NBA championships during his 13 seasons with the Chicago Bulls, said the next challenge for the fellow Black superstar is to achieve consistency.

Is Nike Hanging With "Spoiled Brat" Bryant?

"Making 'The Leap' is where you do it every single night," Jordan said. "It's expected of you, and you do it. ... Not one game, not two games. It's consistent. Every defense comes in and they focus on you and you still impact the game. I think he's shown signs of that."

James took a "big step" forward in the series against the Pistons, but the NBA Finals against the Spurs will provide another huge test, Jordan said.

James was thrilled to learn of Jordan's approval. "Anytime you get praise from the guy who basically laid down all the stones for you to get here. I grew up idolizing his game and how he played the game of basketball. It was definitely great to hear."

BREAKING NEWS: WOMAN PLOWS DOWN BLACK FOLKS AT DC FESTIVAL

Sistah Creates Havoc With Her Car, Injures 35

Sidebar --

WASHINGTON — A station wagon carrying a 7-year-old child left misery and destruction Saturday night in the city's Anacostia neighborhood during Unifest, an annual event sponsored by a church.

Tonya Bell, 30, of Oxon Hill, Md., was charged with aggravated assault while armed as she rode through several blocks at a crowded street festival in a predominantly Black community. Police had to throw their motorcycles in front of the car just to get it to stop before folks literally had to pull the woman out the car.

Other charges, including child endangerment, driving under the influence, and felonious reckless driving will likely be added. If the child in the car belongs to Bell, expect the courts to take custody away from her.

Witnesses said strollers were flung into the air and one person was trapped beneath the car's wheels during the terrifying chaos. In all, 35 people were struck, seven severely. The injured included two children under age 3 and two police officers who drove their motor scooters into the driver's path in an attempt to stop her, authorities said.

Alan Etter, a spokesman for the District of Columbia fire department, said authorities believe Bell was going about 70 mph driving erratically when she tore through the festival.

Many at the scene described a period of mayhem in which Tonya Bell started off slowly through some closed streets before finally pressing the accelerator on the avenue, hitting a stage with choir singers performing and people dancing.

David White said Bell grew up in the neighborhood and saw her Saturday morning, driving erratically and clipping parked cars. He said when he confronted the African-American female, she acted like she didn't know him.

"I said, 'Tonya, what are you doing?' She was sweating like a race horse. We tried our best to stop her. ... She was just in a deranged state of mind," White said.

One question, did folks contact police that morning to alert them to this situation? Because if they were trying to keep this on the hush-hush, they should bear some responsibility for what happened.

VENUS WILLIAMS GETS A BEATDOWN, SERENA TO THE RESCUE

Venus Williams, losing to fourth-seeded Jelena Jankovic, is out of the U.S. French open.

The 22-year-old Jankovic dominated the five-time major champion in the first set, winning 20 of the 24 points played in her service games, including the first 10.

"I got a little bit tired at the end," Williams said. "It's tough on clay."

What about her sister Serena Williams, the only American left playing singles in Paris?

"She's playing great tennis, and she plays well in a crunch," Venus said. "And I think the longer she's in the tournament, the better she'll play."

BREAKING NEWS: WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE MILWAUKEE MCGEES???

Alderman Charged With Federal Crimes

Sidebar--

First his father, a former politico and radio talk show host, was suspended for boneheaded comments about a rival's dead mother. Now police are confirming the arrest of Milwaukee Alderman Michael McGee Jr.

Currently in jail facing federal charges of extortion and bribery, a criminal complaint says the Black politician allegedly shook down a number of businesses in his aldermanic district -- in at least one case involving a liquor license.

U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic said the charges carry a maximum 30 years in prison and a $500,000 dollar fine.

In April, McGhee Jr. survived a recall election after facing scrutiny for using aliases and admitting to an extramarital affair.

He was also tagged to fill-in for his father Michael McGee Sr. on the radio. Get the full story on Dr. Funkenstein here.

Since his 2004 election to his first term representing Milwaukee's 6th district, Michael McGee Jr. has faced several controversies, including a disorderly-conduct arrest and allegations of perjury.

He was not prosecuted in either matter. Looks like the third time may be the charm.

FOLKS WHO GET IT: CONGRESSIOANL BLACK CAUCUS FOUNDER DIES

Champion of Civil Rights, The Honorable Parren J. Mitchell Dies From Complications With Pneumonia.

Mitchell, 85, was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Baltimore in 1970 and was Maryland's first Black congressman.

The Democrat served eight terms before stepping down in 1986 to be the running mate to former attorney general Stephen Sach in his unsuccessful bid for governor.

Mitchell was a member of one of the country's prominent civil rights families. His brother Clarence Mitchell Jr. helped shepherd the major civil rights legislation of the late 1950s and 1960s as the NAACP's principal lobbyist, and was known as the 101st Senator. Parren Mitchell's sister-in-law, Juanita Jackson Mitchell, was the long-time head and legal counsel of the Maryland NAACP.

He gained notoriety during the Wedtech scandal in the 1980s, initiating the congressional investigation that eventually ensnared state Sens. Clarence Mitchell III and Michael Mitchell. While Parren Mitchell was never accused of wrongdoing in the case, his two nephews were sentenced to federal prison for their part in the scandal, which involved bribes to obtain no-bid military contracts.

Born in Baltimore in 1922, Parren Mitchell was a graduate of Morgan State College and earned a Master's degree from the University of Maryland. He served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received the Purple Heart.

As a congressman, he fought for legislation requiring local governments to set aside 10 percent of federal grants to hire minority contractors.

Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, a Democrat who now holds the 7th District seat, said that Mitchell, "Was a true servant leader, never concerning himself about fame or fortune but, rather, devoting himself entirely to uplifting the people he represented."

Job well done congressman - Bravo!

BLACK SECRETARY AT COKE FAILS THE PEPSI CHALLENGE

SIDEBAR--

A sistah was sentenced to eight years in the pokey for conspiring to steal trade secrets from Coca-Cola.

Joya Williams, 42, had faced up to 10 years in prison on the single conspiracy charge in a scheme to sell secrets to rival Pepsi for at least $1.5 million.

Williams was convicted Feb. 2 following a jury trial in Atlanta, where the world's largest beverage maker is based.

U.S. District Judge J. Owen Forrester ignored a tearful apology and plea for mercy by Williams, which was the first time she actually admitted to committing the offense.

Williams had testified during the trial that she did not commit a crime, and her lawyers asserted repeatedly that she had no criminal past.

At the hearing, however, prosecutors disclosed that Williams has two prior convictions, one involving making false statements related to unemployment insurance.

“Your honor, I have expanded my consciousness through this devastating experience. This has been a very defining moment in my life. I have become infamous when I never wanted to become famous.”

It appears Williams stole confidential documents and samples of products that had not been launched by Coca-Cola, then gave them to another co-conspirator.

What they didn't count on was Pepsi tipping-off Coca-Cola that it had received a letter in May 2006 offering hush-hush info to the “highest bidder.” Williams was subsequently kicked to the curb as a secretary to Coke's global brand director.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Byung J. Pak told the judge that Williams didn’t deserve leniency. "Choices have consequences and she made those choices.”

COMPARING HIMSELF TO DR. KING, WHAT IS R KELLY SMOKING???

Looking like a pimped-out Ronald McDonald, R Kelly compares himself to Muhammad Ali, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley -- and even Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. -- in a magazine interview that hits the street just in time for the release of his new album this month.

Kelly, the Chicago native who rose from street singer to star before facing criminal charges of having sex with an underage girl, made the comments in the spring/summer issue of Hip-Hop Soul magazine.

FOLK WHO GET IT: PEOPLE WHO RECOMMIT TO HEALTH

Although Eddie Murphy, Tyler Perry and Martin Lawrence have made plenty of money off of perpetuating the images of the big Black woman with an attitude, the health issues relating to Black women are no laughing matter.

An estimated 80% of Sistahs in America are overweight.

The Mayo Clinic has created something that will have even the laziest desk potato cringing in their running shoes.

Introducing the "vertical workstation" which is a desk fitted over a standard treadmill, and when 15 obese volunteers were asked to use the work station to measure calory loss, the results were incredible!

According to researchers, if an obese person used the desk every day for 1 year, they would lose up to 66lbs, or 30 kg.

The 15 obese volunteers lost an average of 100 calories per hour while walking at 1 mile per hour. "If obese individuals were to replace time spent sitting at the computer with walking computer time by 2 to 3 hours a day, and if other components of energy balance were constant, a weight loss of 20 to 30 kg a year could occur," the researchers wrote.

DID YOU HEAR THE ONE ABOUT CONDI RICE GETTING RAPED...

SHOCK JOCKS JOKE ABOUT AFRICAN-AMERICAN SECRETARY OF STATE WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE

They need to be shot!!!

Opie and Anthony are in trouble AGAIN after their laughfest about raping Condoleezza Rice.

Here's just another example of men (Black or White) feeling like they can say anything and everything they want about sistahs.

On Wednesday's show, a guest named "Homeless Charlie" told the deejays he wanted to sex-up Rice. Anthony Cumia interrupted to say he "could just imagine the horror on Rice's face when she realized that you were holding her down and f - - -ing her."

"Punching her in the f - - -ing face and f - - -ing her," added a laughing "Charlie," before saying he also wanted some of First Lady Laura Bush.

That's what I call entertainment - detailing violent felonies against women. LOL!!!!!!!

The foul exchange took place on XM satellite radio. But then a recording appeared on Drudge, orbiting the comments beyond XM's anemic audience.

CBS-owned 92.3 "Free FM" said it had no plans to take "Opie & Anthony" off the air.

"We apologize for comments that were made on our XM show... We take very seriously -- blah, blah, blah -- responsibility that comes -- blah, blah -- regret any -- blah, blah, blah ..." per a XM spokeshole. Here's their lame apology.

Do these two clowns sound familiar?

Greg "Opie" Hughesthey and Anthony Cumia were fired in 2002 from a radio station - under the gun from the F.C.C. and inundated by public outrage - after broadcasting, via a cell phone, a description of a man and woman having sex during religious services in New York's St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Imus, Opie and Anthony - Is CBS still calling itself "The Tiffany Network?" This is why we need to bring back the Fairness Doctrine and why XM and Sirius radio stations SHOULD NOT be allowed to merge!

NO SPIKE LEE FILM THIS SUMMER? WELL...

... THIS IS WHAT WE DO HAVE:
With juggernaut sized movies like the Spiderman, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises spinning webs, bewitching magic or drowning us in the sea of huge marketing campaigns, it's easy for smaller films, like those featuring a mostly African-American cast, to get lost in the shuffle.

So we here at 3BAAS have put together a list of summer releases that you want to keep your eyes on--or off--but at least you'll know they're out there.

THE SALON. Vivica A. Fox fights City Hall to keep her neighborhood beauty salon open when the Department of Water and Power threatens to seize her land for a development project. Mark Brown, who wrote and produced “Barbershop,” directs as well this time. With Terrence Howard and Monica Calhoun. The movie's website describes it as "irreverent and sassy." We're sure!

THE HIP HOP PROJECT. Fed up with rap music's focus on money and violence, a formerly homeless teenager, Kazi, brings together a group of New York teenagers for a special project and encourages them to produce an inspirational hip-hop album. This documentary traces the evolution of the group as they reach down deep inside their lives to create very personal music they hope will transform the entire music industry.

AND THEN CAME LOVE.
When her little boy pleads for a daddy, a single mother (Vanessa Williams) decides to track down the anonymous sperm donor who made him possible. Kevin Daniels, Eartha Kitt, Stephen Spinella and Ben Vereen co-star in this romantic comedy directed by Richard Schenkman.

TALK TO ME. Don Cheadle stars in the true story of Ralph Waldo (Petey) Greene Jr., a Washington D.J. who became a voice for African-Americans in the city. Kasi Lemmons directs; with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mike Epps and Martin Sheen.

AND WE SHOULD ALSO MENTION...

DADDY DAY CAMP, the sequel to Eddie Murphy’s 2003 hit, “Daddy Day Care.” Eddie wasn’t available this time, so the filmmakers got Cuba Gooding Jr. Hilarity, it goes without saying, ensues.

RUSH HOUR 3. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are in Paris this time and hilarity ensues.

SHREK THE THIRD. Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas, as the voices of Donkey and Puss'n Boots are back and hilarity ensues again!

EVEN MONEY. Forest Whitaker, joins an all-star cast including Kim Bassinger, Danny DeVito and Kelsey Grammer.

OCEAN’S THIRTEEN. Same crew, (with Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac), different heist, but now Al Pacino is the bad guy. I'll crush 'em like a cockroaches.

EVAN ALMIGHTY. Hilarity ensues when God (Morgan Freeman) commands a newly elected congressman (Steve Carell) to start building an ark in his Virginia backyard. Wanda Sykes also stars.

1408, from a Stephen King story of the same, uh, number, the hair-raising tale of a supernatural researcher resolved to spend the night in a haunted hotel room. Starring Samuel L. Jackson

I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY with Ving Rhames.

RESURRECTING THE CHAMP. Samuel L. Jackson is a former boxing champion living on the streets.

THE COMEBACKS. The losingest college football coach in recorded history assembles a new team of misfits and losers, hoping for the best, with . It's a comedy, and featuring the talents of Carl Weathers, Andy Dick and Dennis Rodman undoubtedly hilarity ensues.

THE NEXT IMUS REPLACEMENT TRY-OUT: LARRY ELDER

Radio’s next representative in the old “Imus in the Morning” slot on MSNBC will be KABC’s Larry Elder. The Los Angeles afternoon Talk host will be seen and heard Monday and Tuesday from 6-9 AM Eastern on the NBC cable news channel.

Elder joins radio personalities Stephanie Miller and Michael Smerconish who – so far – have attempted to fill the oversized cowboy hat of Don Imus.
