Elvis was the man -- no question!

By the time he died on August 16, 1977 at the age of 42, however, the King of Rock was "all shook-up" due to drugs, booze, depression, neurosis and excessive weight gain.

As we celebrate his incredible legacy, we pay homage while also acknowledging that Presley's musical influences were brothers and sisters who never received the recognition and fame they rightfully deserved.
