Codeblack Hooks Up With YouTube Google to Distribute Urban (i.e. Black) Programming

Codeblack Interactive has partnered with YouTube on made-for-the-Internet urban programming that will be distributed under Google Content Network.

The first original skein to appear on Codeblack's YouTube channel will be an animated entry created by "Boondocks" head writer Yamara Taylor. Clips from Codeblack African-American pics and comedy concerts will also be available for streaming.

Deal calls for Codeblack to secure ads and sponsorships for the YouTube channel and across the Google Content Network. Google will syndicate the programming to thousands of websites targeting African-American auds.

Codeblack will be the first urban company to tap into the Google Content Network. This summer, Seth MacFarlane's pact for "Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy." MacFarlane plans on creating up to 50 two-minute webisodes; they began appearing on YouTube early last month with Burger King on as a sponsor.

Codeblack has not yet secured a sponsor.
