Here We Go Again!
O.J. Simpson was arrested at his hotel room at the Palms Casino in Vegas Sunday morning and is now facing multiple felonies, including armed robbery.
Family, please let's not automatically conclude that this Black man is guilty of anything just because he, well ... got away with murder!
The 60-year-old controversial athlete turned sports broadcaster, pitchman, B-list actor and killer of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman is believed to be at the center of a dispute involving the former football great's sports memorabilia and other personal belongings.
The charges against Simpson will include robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and burglary with a firearm, said Capt. James Dillon. Arrested shortly after 11 a.m. this morning, Dillon also said that more charges against the father of four could be forthcoming.
Orenthal James was being held at Las Vegas police offices pending the arrival of his lawyer, who was expected later Sunday. "He was very cooperative, there were no issues," Dillon said.
At least one other person has been arrested and police said Sunday that as many as six people could be arrested in connection with the alleged armed robbery that occurred in a room inside the Palace Station casino-hotel on Thursday.
Simpson maintains that he and other people with him were merely retrieving items that rightfully belonged to him. Simpson has said there were no guns involved and that he went to the room at the casino only to get stolen mementos that included his Hall of Fame certificate and a picture of the running back with J. Edgar Hoover.
