Singer Angie Stone Will Be Out In LA Next Month For The 2008 Angel City Classic

The newest addition to the Farmers Angel City Classic 5th Quarter Concert saluting Isaac Hayes is the incomparable Angie Stone. With concert producer extraordinaire Marc Brogdon of N2U Creative Marketing Group helming the event, Stone will be joined by other top A-List talent that are still under wraps.


Angie Stone is a R&B, soul, and neo soul singer-songwriter, keyboardist, record producer, and occasional actress. Sistagirl was nominated for the 2008 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for her duet with Betty Wright from the hit single "Baby."

The Classic, to be nationally televised on Fox Sports Net, will feature a McDonald's Battle of The Bands, Greek tailgate parties, Snoop Dogg's youth football playoff, a Band Clinic, as well as a King & Queen Competition for High School Seniors who will be given a $5,000.00 scholarship. Is Nick Cannon the man or what? First it was sexy actress and singer Christina Millan. Then it was Victoria Secret Hottie Selita Ebanks. So now this black man with incredible taste in women looks like he's got Mimi sprung.

A source close to Mariah has confirmed to Access Hollywood that the music diva is engaged to Nick Cannon.

The couple sent the rumor mill into overdrive when 38-year-old Mariah (with Nick on her arm) was seen sporting a dazzling new piece of bling on her ring finger at the after party for her Tribeca film, “Tennessee,” in New York.

When asked at the party what he loved about Mariah, 27-year-old Nick gave a one-word answer.“Everything,” he told People.

Up until recently, Mariah had been romantically linked to music executive Mark Sudack. However, she never confirmed the romance.

Mariah was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 – 1998.
Nick was previously engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year.

This will be the first marriage for the “Drumline” star.

They're so done! Nick Cannon and Selita Ebanks have split, Ebanks's rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. "Selita and Nick are taking a break to focus on their careers but still very much love each other and remain the best of friends," says her rep.

The breakup comes just five months after the "Wildin Out" brother made a proposal that lit up New York's Times Square – literally – as he asked Ebanks to marry him with the help of a jumbotron. By August, Cannon, 26, was hedging his bets when it came to nailing down wedding details, "We haven't really talked about a lot of that stuff. You've got to take it slow." As for Ebanks, 24, she said earlier in the summer that the pair had some fundamental differences between their ideal ceremony. "He's all about the bling and having a big wedding. Me? I'm all about the courthouse."

Another celebrity couple bites the dust folks. But they're young, so it's all good.
