MSNBC took swift and decisive action today after up and coming cable news personality David Shuster got a little too comfortable with his Ebonics speak. Especially when it comes to a 27-year-old white girl who's big baller-shot caller daddy already knows what it's like to be chillin at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and who's mama is trying to get back up in that piece.

"On Thursday's "Tucker" on MSNBC, David Shuster, who was serving as guest-host of the program, made a comment about Chelsea Clinton and the Clinton campaign that was irresponsible and inappropriate.

Shuster, who apologized this morning on MSNBC and will again this evening, has been suspended from appearing on all NBC News broadcasts, other than to make his apology. He has also extended an apology to the Clinton family. NBC News takes these matters seriously, and offers our sincere regrets to the Clintons for the remarks.

Rutgers Player Sues Imus, Wants Unspecified Damages After Dis

Claiming that Don Imus' sexist and racist comments on April 4 about the Rutgers Women's Basketball Team damaged her reputation, the bad sistah at center is suing Don Imus and CBS.

Kia Vaughn filed a lawsuit on Tuesday alleging slander and defamation of character in state Supreme Court in the Bronx the same day Imus settled with CBS Radio in a deal that pre-empts his threatened $120 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against CBS.

The settlement allows him to make a comeback bid at a new station, a comeback Reverend Al Sharpton has already co-signed on. For Jesse Jackson, the verdict is still out.

Vaughn’s lawsuit, believed to be the first by a player in the case, says Imus and his former co-host Bernard McGuirk, along with CBS Corp. and CBS Radio, are legally responsible for damage done to her character and reputation.

Although there is no dollar amount listed in the suit, we hope homegirl gets as much KA-CHING as she possibly can!

Imus certainly isn't hurting for cash, and but for his ignorant-ass comments, we wouldn't even be talking about this. Kia, You Go Grrrl!

MSNBC'S NEW ANCHOR TAMRON HALL HAS GOT IT GOING ON!

Classy, competent and easy on the eyes, Tamron Hall is a great reason to watch MSNBC's Dayside.

Has anyone notice the new sister on MSNBC?

Although she's only been there for a few days, Tamron Hall is officially on our radar. She gets it!

Prior to starting her MSNBC gig last month, Hall spent 10 years at WFLD in Chicago, where she held a number of positions including general assignment reporter, consumer reporter, and most recently, host of the three-hour “Fox News in the Morning” program.

She also anchored the weekday mornings and served as a noon anchor. While at WFLD, Hall covered several breaking news stories including one of Amtrak’s most devastating accidents in Illinois and she secured a one-on-one interview with Sen. Barack Obama shortly before he announced his run for the presidency. Hall was nominated for an Emmy for her consumer report segment, “The Bottom Line,” which she launched in 1999.

Before joining WFLD, Hall spent four years as a general assignment reporter at KTVT in Dallas. She began her broadcasting career at KBTX in Bryan, Texas, as a general assignment reporter.

Hall received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. Hall is also very involved in charitable organizations that help women fight abuse and organizations that work to end illiteracy. Hall is a native of Luling, Texas.

THE NEXT IMUS REPLACEMENT TRY-OUT: LARRY ELDER

Radio’s next representative in the old “Imus in the Morning” slot on MSNBC will be KABC’s Larry Elder. The Los Angeles afternoon Talk host will be seen and heard Monday and Tuesday from 6-9 AM Eastern on the NBC cable news channel.

Elder joins radio personalities Stephanie Miller and Michael Smerconish who – so far – have attempted to fill the oversized cowboy hat of Don Imus.

IMUS CLAIMS CBS & MSNBC CULPABLE IN SLUR MISHAP

A lawyer for Don Imus said Friday that the former radio host's bosses could have edited the on-air comments that got him fired _ and the fact that they didn't meant they saw his remarks as routine for his often-provocative show. Attorney Martin Garbus told ABC-TV's "Good Morning America" that CBS Radio and MSNBC had delay buttons but didn't use them when Imus made racist and sexist comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team last month."

That means CBS and MSNBC both knew the language that was going out, and both knew the language complied with (Imus') contract. ... It was consistent with many of the things he had done," Garbus said.

CBS Radio owns Imus' former home radio station, WFAN-AM, and MSNBC simulcast the program on cable television.
