Whoopi Goldberg To Host 2008 Tony Awards, Stellar Black Performers Ignored

Broadway's Tony Awards will be presented by actress Whoopi Goldberg on 15 June at New York's Radio City Music Hall. Question is, will she be the only African American to grace the stage that night as standouts The Country Girl, starring Morgan Freeman, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with James Earl Jones and Terrence Howard, received no nominations.

Or was this just a snub to the big show with big names, as A Bronx Tale with Chazz Palminteri and Cyrano de Bergerac starring Kevin Kline and Jennifer Garner were ignored as well.
