Why Black Women Are Angry: Does "The Trashman" Really Exist And Is He Infecting Sister's With Aids???

The nonchalant, casual nature of sex in today’s society has become a concern to many due to the ugly truths about the spread of many STDs including HIV/AIDS.

With young African American women being the group infected at a higher rate than any other, new tactics are being formed to educate, and even scare them into being more aware of the dangers out there. Under the hood, the YouTube clip that's got everybody up in arms.

MTV uses their influence on the youth of this country with multiple commercials and programs that tell their audience to get tested and understand how easily the deadly disease spreads.

For those of us that can’t get on TV, the advent of YouTube, and many other websites like it, provide a forum for a show about anything. A Black man known as “The Trashman” is one with a series of videos that describe his sexual escapades with young women ranging from age 15 to the mid 20s. One video in particular has him speaking very disrespectfully about how he’s spread HIV to Black and Latino women through unprotected sex. Some of the language in the video is explicit:



There are many reasons to analyze the video and see it as fake. What man gets the full names, ages, and backgrounds of every woman he’s had sex with? What clubs does he go to where he can find some 15 and 16 year old girls hanging out? These places would have been shut down by now. This scheme sounds a lot like the book, ALZMEK: The Fictional Memoir of a Tainted Life, in which a man knowingly and brazenly spreads the AIDS virus to unsuspecting sexual partners.

Finally, many have asked, THIS guy had sex with 15,000 women because of a Jaguar? Some are calling for “The Trashman’s” arrest, hoping he’ll become someone’s “bitch” in prison.

Others are pointing out the likely possibility that this is all a hoax, a chance to get 1 million hits on YouTube. Whatever the reason or degree of truth involved in this video’s existance, Black Americans are being infected with the virus at an alarming rate through multiple irresponsible means. Before many young people pick up a book or read something to leisurely educate themselves, they head to the most popular videos on the internet.

Is “The Trashman” a fraud that is going to where the target audience flocks to tell the story that they would likely not hear? There are many out there that are unknowingly doing what he’s claiming to do. There may be others that are infected, like this dirty scheme, and have found something new to do with their lives and be a copycat.

Real or fake, the main concern is, does everyone know what’s happening and are we talking about it yet?

One Room in Zambia: The Devastating Impact HIV/Aids Is Having On African Countries

Sometimes the story is out in the street. Sometimes, it is on a battlefield. Sometimes, it is in the room, sitting next to you.

After a four-hour drive south from Zambia’s sprawling city of Lusaka, I’m sitting in a small, whitewashed office with 11 people. Clement Chipollilo, an aid worker, is telling us about a Zambian village we will visit. HIV/AIDS, unemployment, and drought have ravaged the village. In recent years, most of the region’s cattle have died of pneumonia. Drought has trashed its agricultural base. It is the next thing he says, however, that makes us all sit up and listen.

He tells about what happens when parents die, usually from AIDS, and leave their children behind. “In the city,” he says, “children often raise themselves. A 7-year-old child becomes the head of the household. You’ll see them along the street. If the children are orphaned in a village, however, a relative usually tries to take them in, but sometimes they cannot afford to.” I ask him how often this happens, parents dying, leaving their children with nothing and no one. “A lot,” he says. “In fact, all four of us in the room are raising children who are not our own.”

There are four Zambian men in the room. They look up and nod. Between them, they are raising 23 children who are not their own. I ask them about their kids. Clement has one child of his own, but he is raising five more. When Clement’s cousin and his cousin’s wife died of AIDS, Clement took the kids. Bernard Zulu, another Zambian aid worker in the room, has four of his own children and is responsible seven more – including some of his own siblings.

Same goes for Victor Simuchimba, whose brother and sister both died of AIDS. He raised three children in addition to his own. Goffrey Mankhungwe Kamanga has two boys, but is raising or helping raise four more. Goffrey’s sister is sick with an AIDS-related illness. That means that soon he may have more. When I tell them how stunned I am by their stories, they laugh. “You should have met Aladon,” Goffrey says, “he is a fifth employee in our office and he has raised about 12 children that are not his own.”

All the men are bright, educated and passionate about Zambia’s poorest people. The stories they tell are both hopeful and desperate. On one hand, they are building a beautiful school. On the other, unemployment in the region is almost 100 percent. Huge advances in free antiviral medication for HIV/AIDS provide hope.

Yet, the average life expectancy here is just a stunning 38 years – down from 46 years just a few years ago. The HIV pandemic is crushing Zambia’s adult population. More than half of the nation’s 11 million people are suddenly under 15 years old. Their parents – dead or dying.

One of the men in the room mentions malaria. I later learn that all four Zambians in the room have malaria. “If you are Zambian, you’ve had malaria,” says Goffrey. But that is another story, for another room.

BLACK SOLDIER CHARGED WITH SPREADING HIV THROUGH GAY SEX WITH TEENAGER... AND HE'S MARRIED!

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An HIV-positive Fort Bragg soldier with a wife and kids has been accused of knowingly spreading the virus to a teenage boy.

This is disturbing family, on sooo many levels.

Private First Class Johnny Lamar Dalton, 25, was charged last week with assault with a deadly weapon (his "Shemar Moore") , misdemeanor assault and committing a crime against nature. He is being held under a $50,000 bond and faces the same charges from the military.

Dalton was arrested after the Fort Bragg military police and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office conducted a five-month-long investigation, where they found that the 25-year-old was engaged in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old boy he found in a gay online chatroom and then met in person, the boy's mother told WRAL.com.

Last November, Dalton signed a written order agreeing to not have unprotected sex and to notify a partner before he did, a spokesperson for the 82nd Airborn Division told WRAL.com.

His encounters with the boy continued despite the order and despite his having a wife and children. In February, doctors conducting routine blood tests reportedly found that the otherwise healthy teen was HIV positive.

The boy, now 18, and his mother went to Fort Bragg military police and then to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

"My son received it [HIV] unwillingly," the teen's mother told WRAL.com. "If you willingly and knowingly ... and you purposefully do something, you should suffer the consequences."

Both the boy's mother and military investigators are worried that Dalton might have infected other people who have not come forward. The mother has said she thinks that the Army should have better control over soldiers known to be infected with HIV or AIDS.

Dalton is a member of the 22nd Aviation Support Battalion and is not allowed to deploy because of the virus.

Military and civilian prosecutors will meet to decide who will take the case to court. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 2.

LOCAL PARK IN BLACK COMMUNITY SEES RISE OF GAY SEX ACTS

Police target lewd activity after a child walked into a restroom and found a man engaged in a sexual act.

Undercover detectives recently made 15 arrests during a series of operations to combat prostitution at massage parlors and a park in Inglewood, California.

Eleven of the arrests occurred at Edward Vincent Park at Florence and Centinela avenues, which has become a haven for men interested in homosexual activity in public venues.

Ironically, Vincent Park is less than two miles from Florence and Normandie Avenue, a flash point of violence and civil unrest just hours after the 1992 Rodney King verdicts were announced.

As soon as a predominantly White jury found four White officers not guilty for beating the brother who coined the phrase, "Can't we all just get along", bedlam ensued throughout the city. It was here, however, where truck driver Reginald Denny -- simply waiting at a traffic light -- was pulled out of his rig and beaten unconscious by four Black thugs.

The reason? He was White.

CAN A WHITE BOY BE "ON THE DL?"

Fast forward fifteen years and you now have this spot where gay, straight, and bi-sexual men of color "hook up" at all hours of the night. "It has become a popular location for people to go, but we are going to take the park back," Inglewood police Sgt. Robert Pessis said. "These are just people loitering in the park for the purposes of lewd conduct,"

Police focused on the restrooms and other outdoor areas. "It appears it had been getting worse," Pessis said. "We wanted to put our foot down and curb this problem." Most of the people arrested were not Inglewood residents, he said.

In my experience as a judge who handled those cases as far back as 1999, individuals arrested and charged included doctors, county workers, religious leaders, business professionals, even grass root Afro-centric neighborhood activists.

Most were African-American men, some Latino, all insisting that they were just "hanging out."

While it's clear that the darkly lit, tree-filled park bordering a busy thoroughfare, a Catholic church, middle class homes, and the city's civic center is on the radar for brothers interested in this type of activity, the real concern is the HIV/Aids-epidemic running rampant in Black America as well as the Diaspora.

Family, we must stop blaming everyone else for our issues. It's time to get real!
