As I shared last week, I awoke to several e-mails in my in-box asking me to respond to Tavis Smiley's commentary on the Tom Joyner Morning Show (TJMS) regarding his take on Senator Barack Obama's presidential candidacy.People were clearly upset. In response, Tavis did an excellent job in responding to people's pain in his follow-up commentary. As evidenced by the e-mails, comments and blogs, people were clearly pained by Tavis' views concerning Obama.
Then this past Tuesday, Tavis seems to have managed to get under people's skin again.
So, I keep getting all these e-mails and comments from Black readers telling me how disheartened they are with Tavis and his harsh approach on Obama. The most recent one that kind of tugged on my heart is this:
