Did you see this story: "China executed its former top food and drug regulator on Tuesday for taking bribes to approve untested medicine, as the Beijing leadership scrambled to show that it was serious about improving the safety of Chinese products."
I think the guy should've been punished, but EXECUTED?! I mean, don't the Chinese have their own form of torture?Why couldn't they just put him in jail, or even torture him? If that guy gets killed for accepting bribes and fraud, what do they do to the violent criminals?
The fact that China had a corrupt government official making decisions may shed some light on the mystery behind chinese food.
