A 22-year-old man allegedly not only carjacked 91-year-old WWII Veteran Leonard Sims on May 4, 2007, but --according to cops -- punched him repeatedly in the face and neck.
Authorities believe he apparently either had no idea that he was being recorded on video surveillance the whole time, or else he just didn't care in this brutal crime that was caught on tape in Detroit, Michigan.
Before driving away in the stolen car, police say Deontae Bradley, who has since been arrested, struck the elderly man almost two dozen times. Several times throughout the suspceted attack Bradley allegedly stopped and started to turn away, but each time he turned back to Mr. Sims and began punching again.
O.K. family - enough is enough. The elders in our or anyone else's community should NEVER be attacked, beatened or abused in anyway.
What is worse, people stood by - a total of five - and DID NOTHING!
One must ask:
JUST HOW DEEP IS THAT HOLE IN THE SOUL OF AMERICA?
Come on...aren't we better than this?
