IMUS JUST DOESN'T GET IT!
Just when I thought I had heard it all, Don Imus is nothing but another white man who feels entitled to get away with saying anything he wants about Black people without consequence.
He has the gall to tell the National President of the National Association of Black Journalist (NABJ) that he bets he has slept with more Black children under the same roof that he wasn't related to than he has. SO WHAT?!?!?!?
Then, as a way of making himself feel better about himself and what he did, Imus is going to exercise his financial muscle over the other radio guests by saying how much he has done to help Black children. Now, because he is trying to cover his ass, it's now all of a sudden fashionable to champion the cause to find a cure for sickle cell when there have been Black groups doing it for years.
Just because the mainstream media hasn't given much of a damn -maybe up until now, all of sudden, Black folk are suppose to feel guilty as if we haven't done enough.
Imus, get a grip - and a new job.
