I got a nice crib.
Some even nicer things inside.
But Damn...
These alarm system guys and the monthly fees are pulling a scam!
Well, maybe not.

You park the Beemer because gas is too high and once you get where you're going, you need more money. Your blood pressure is going up from stress and all those "dollar menu" items you're eating for lunch, dinner and in between. So another monthly bill for an alarm system is totally out.
How To Keep Your S**t Safe Without Coming Out Of Pocket:
Go ghetto: Steal, er... borrow an alarm company sign from a "friend" and put it out in front of your house. It works for that fake "Lojack" sticker on your Beemer right? Orrr... for $30 bucks, you can get two motion detector lights.
Be Super Ghetto: Always be home. Orrrrr... spend ten dollars on a timer, so when you do go out it turns on some lights and a radio so it seems like you are home. Especially during the day and summer vacation months. Those little criminals are looking for something to do and they all didn't get to go to camp.
Be Ghetto Fabulous: Throw a party, charge your friends to buy safety stuff. Worked' in college for book money. Orrrr... ask your nosey neighbors to watch your house when you are away. They even wouldn't mind parking one of their kids cars in your driveway.
Ghetto Folks: Stop flashin' your stuff! They don't know what you got, unless you're showing off.
Don't be Ghetto: take care of your crib. Wow, what a concept! Let's try cutting the three foot-high grass. How about trimming those hedges from the windows and all the trees from the second story windows. Burglars hate to be seen and now, you've blown their cover.
Make an Inventory of your stuff: In the end - if they want it - they're gonna get it! So have an inventory and receipts for high ticket items you've purchased. And if it was a "gift," go on line and print out the highest price you see advertised. Years from now that "model" you have won't be around and your insurer will need some kind of reference price.
