"I went on Imus because he was the only one who would give me more than a minute or two to announce my presidential bid to a large audience." U.S. Senator Chris Dodd, at the bottom of all Republican polls, said today on MSNBC.
"They said they would give me twenty minutes... so I went on the show."
Senator Dodd is a father - like the fathers of the Black players from Rutgers - who has teenage daughters. "He said he was sorry and I believe he's sincere" Dodd maintained while speaking on behalf of the former iconic shock jock.
Initially Dodd said he would not rule out going back on a show hosted by Don Imus. And when Dodd appeared on MSNBC today and spoke to David Gregory on Hardball, he was evasive when asked whether CBS did the right thing, "I accept that [the decision to fire Imus] but this is a story not completed. Racism and bigotry exists. I hope this story goes on and we can address these issues."
Former Republican presidential candidate Patrick Buchanan, "I think people should cut him some slack. In my judgment, CBS's actions were unheroic."
On the Tucker show the former Richard Nixon aide went on, "People went in for the kill. We'll look back and say did we go to far..." "He's a friend who made a mistake and I would go back on the show."
Although The Debate Will Now Shift To Jesse, Sharpton, And Jay Z - This Position Will Not Help Republicans Recruit Black Folks - BELIEVE THAT!!!
