CHECK YOURSELF, BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF
Senator Barack Obama has issued a statement concerning the Don Imus controversy:
"The comments of Don Imus were divisive, hurtful, and offensive to Americans of all backgrounds."
Now the American media wants to start some stuff by instigating debate around whether or not Barack has spoken up loudly enough concerning the Imus issue.
Don't trip! Senator Obama is doing exactly what he should be doing.
In fact, he was the first Democratic presidential candidate who made a statement on the issue.
That's enough. We've got Jesse and Al, we don't need Barack on this one. He's busy campaigning on behalf of all Americans.
And don't think for one moment he's not angry. Imus basically dissed his wife, daughters and grandmother.
Be careful mainstream media. African American men are angry for the disrespect shown toward their women no matter what you think Black men think about Black women. Are you sure you want to further awaken this sleeping giant? Be careful what you ask for; America is not ready for the true Black consciousness of America.
Keep doing your thing, Barack. You are on the right path!
