As a professional Blogger, it's my job to keep up and monitor the news, especially as it relates to the whole Don Imus issue.
With that said, have all the Black women disappeared from the face of the earth? Why can't any of the news stations find any Black women to interview regarding this issue?
Rev. Jackson and Rev. Sharpton have their place, but the bottom line is they don't speak for me solely. The news media behaves like they are the only two Black people on earth. We're over them already.
News media, get a grip! Truth be known, Black women are very capable of speaking for ourselves. Why aren't you asking Black women how they feel about this issue?
Did you know a 16-year old Black girl came on the Michael Baisden Radio Show today crying her eyes out about the harsh remarks by Imus?
Wake up media! The suspension is not enough! Exercise some common sense!
And people want to refer to Black people as ignorant. Then folks want to know why Black women are angry.
