Los Angeles County sheriff's records show that the rapper was released from jail just before midnight on Sunday after serving just eight days of a 60 day sentence. The 28-year-old entertainer - whose real name is Jayceon Taylor - turned himself in March 2 at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility.

He was convicted last month of possession of a firearm in a school zone after being accused of pulling a gun on a player from an opposing team during a pickup game at a South Los Angeles school nearly a year ago.

In his latest blog entry, White rocker Joel Madden revealed that his newborn daughter is , "...finally home with my beautiful girlfriend."
