Dennis Kucinich Brings Articles of Impeachment As Dems Duck Embarrassment And The GOP Duck The Law

Okay, not one of the major news bureaus is covering this story but we at 3BAAS will use any excuse to put a hot honey on our site. Case-in-point Dennis Kucinich and his babe-a-licious wife Elizabeth.

Here's the short of it. Monday Democrat Dennis J. Kucinich brought articles of impeachment against President Bush for getting us into the Iraq war, his handling of the war and blatant abuse of power. Both Republicans and Democrats don't think the resolution is going anywhere. Republicans trying to show how Democrats waste time requested he read all the articles out loud for four hours.

Democrats motioned for it to happen at the end of the day. But Republicans are really trying to avoid a revisit to the same articles of impeachment against Dick Chaney. With gas prices going through the roof the American public should be demanding to know what Dick Chaney discussed with US oil and energy leaders in that "closed door session".

Why America Is Angry: This Iraq War Is Like The Energizer Bunny, But Not In A Good Way

Dateline - May 1, 2003. President Bush declares the end of major combat in Iraq as he speaks aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln off the California coast.

The White House said Wednesday, April 30, 2008, that President Bush has paid a price for the "Mission Accomplished" banner that was flown in triumph five years ago but later became a symbol of U.S. misjudgments and mistakes in the long and costly war in Iraq. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

Hey Barack, Get Back To Bashing Bush!

By Isidra Person-Lynn

I am reading the headlines that presidential hopeful Barack Obama is again distancing himself from his now famous Pastor Jeremiah Wright.

Now that you have said that, Senator, please go back to your stunning offense and hammer away the message that the country President Bush is leaving you to lead is a mess and it is largely because of HIS POLITICS, not his pastor's.

Every day another industry is raiding prices, another company is going under. Circuit City? Have you been to a store lately to see how much wheat and other foods have become? Forget the earthquake food you should be saving. You might as well stock up on Depression food ow while you can.

The Bush administration has sold this country out from underneath us, have allowed the oil companies to put us in a headlock, and have left many children behind. THIS is why you were so popular and this is why white racism is rearing its ugly head against you. How are Pastor Wright's comments worse than the lies Hillary has told or the fact that Hillary's husband is conducting business totally opposite of what she is proclaiming? Had you done either of these things or if you were at the helm when the country was a mess, you would have been thrown under the buss.

This is what you must do: When they ask you about Wright, start talking about Bush. You've already answered them, so YOU move on. Keep your eyes focused, do not feel you have to answer every question. Keep providing us with your thoughtful solutions, and don't let up. In this case the best defense is a strong offense. Hillary is not the enemy. You have beaten her by my count. Instead, keep Bush and the Republican party in front of your sight because THAT is what we all want relief from. That is why we want you in there.

The American media is using the Hack a Barack...over and over again. It slows the game and turns the voters off. Take a page out of Kobe's book: It's the 4th quarter. Just take over the game.

Yes, my metaphors are mixed but I hope my message is clear. It ain't over.

Soldiers In Iraq We Salute You, But George Could Kiss Our Black...

The Shock & Awe Of The War Bush Insists On Fighting

Five years after launching the invasion of Iraq, President Bush strongly signaled Wednesday that he won't order troop withdrawals beyond those already planned because he refuses to "jeopardize the hard-fought gains" of the past year.

As anti-war activists demonstrated around downtown Washington, the president spoke at the Pentagon to mark the anniversary of a war that has cost nearly 4,000 U.S. lives and roughly $500 billion. The president's address was part of a series of events the White House planned around the anniversary and next month's report from the top U.S. figures in Iraq, Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker.

President Bush Appoints African American John Hope Bryant Vice-Chair Of Advisory Council On Financial Literacy

THE PRESIDENT: I appreciate members of my Cabinet joining me today with some of our citizens who care about the future of our country and are willing to do something about it. Earlier today I signed an executive order establishing the President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy.

Chuck Schwab is the chairman of this group, and John Hope Bryant is the vice-chair. These two men have agreed to take time to take the lead, and I appreciate it.

I have asked people from the business world, the faith world, the non-profit world, to join this council in order to come up with recommendations as to how to better educate people from all walks of life about matters pertaining to their finances and their future.

You know, it's interesting that if we want America to be as hopeful a place as it can be, we want people owning assets. We want people investing. We want people owning homes. But oftentimes, to be able to do so requires literacy when it comes to financial matters. And sometimes people just simply don't know what they're looking at and reading. And it can lead to personal financial crisis, and that personal financial crisis, if accumulated to too many folks, hurts our country.

One of the issues that many of our folks are facing now are these sub-prime mortgages. I just wonder how many people, when they bought a sub-prime mortgage, knew what they were getting into: The low interest rates sounded very attractive, and all of a sudden, that contract kicks in and people are paying high interest rates. One of the missions is to make sure that when somebody gets a financial instrument they know what they're getting into, they know what they're buying, they understand. That's not all Bush had to say.

U.S. SENATE OK'S WAR AGAINST IRAN, TROOP MOVEMENT IMMINENT!

The Senate approved a resolution on Wednesday urging the Bush administration to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a foreign terrorist organization, and lawmakers briefly set aside partisan differences to approve a measure calling for stepped-up diplomacy to forge a political solution in Iraq.

Since last month, the White House has been weighing whether to declare the Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist group or to take a narrower step focusing on only the Guard’s elite Quds Force. Either approach would signal a more confrontational posture by declaring a part of the Iranian military a terrorist operation.

So we should not be surprised when President Bush, in months to come, decides, "You just can't talk to bullies. They only understand one thing." and he then sends U.S. troops in to eradicate this terrorist group and oops ... we forgot to tell you that this guard is also stationed outside the the Iranian presidents home.

Think this might get the people of Iran just a little mad?? Is this action a blueprint for WAR with Iran? What do you think. Checkout DAVID M. HERSZENHORN for blow by blow of the full Senate vote.

WEB UPDATE: OSAMA BIN LADEN IS NOT A BLACK MAN AND NEW TAPE CONFIRMS IT!

No, Bin Laden Ain't A Brotha!

Because if he was, he would have been caught a long time ago. Let's look at these simple facts. Bin Laden stands 6'8. From what we know of his health, he is walking around with a portable dialysis machine. He is hiding in a desert community where the average male height is 5'6.

So in essence, this is like trying to find Kareem Abdul-Jabbar walking around Mexico City. C'mon President Bush, how hard could this be? Is our government and intelligence community THAT bad??? Yes.

Here is the latest on the new 2007, '9-11 Anniversary Tape' from Bin Laden:

CAIRO, Egypt - In a new video released ahead of the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, Osama bin Laden made no overt threats but lectured Americans on the Iraq war and criticized global capitalism, calling its leaders the real terrorists.

His emergence Friday comes at a time when terrorism experts believe bin Laden's terror network is regrouping in the lawless Pakistan-Afghanistan border region — and it underlines the U.S. failure to catch him. [AP]

GONZALES RESIGNS... FINALLY

It is not clear whether U.S. Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales was pushed out or did he jump out; but it is official, he has resigned his position with the Bush administration.

Mr. Gonzales, who had rebuffed calls for his resignation, submitted his to President Bush by telephone on Friday, the official said. His decision was not immediately announced, the official added, until after the president invited him and his wife to lunch at his ranch near Waco Texas.

The likely temporary replacement for Gonzales is Solicitor General Paul Clement, who would take over until a permanent replacement is found, according to a senior administration official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

KARL ROVE CONFESSES TO GEORGE BUSH, "I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO QUIT YOU!"

Rove's Strategic Exit Makes Me Wax Nostalgic

America woke up to surprising news that President Bush’s senior political adviser, Karl Rove, “The Architect,” has handed in his resignation and will be leaving at the end of the month.

With such an important political strategist leaving so abruptly and unexpectedly from the White House, speculation and questions are already swirling.

Although Rove said his move was not forced, there are too many reasons to not believe the hype. The target of congressional scrutiny as he and other White House staffers have been subpoenaed by Congress to testify in the case of fired U.S. attorneys, Rove was handed his lunch last year as Democrats won control of Congress, and as the president failed to overhaul U.S. immigration law.

While working for the highly unpopular leader of the free world, (his approval rating has skyrocketed from 28% to 31%) Rove has gotten credit from critics and fans for being the genius behind many of the one-liners that Bush has delivered over the past several years to justify starting a senseless war, blatantly breaking the law while spying on Americans, and eliminating habeas corpus. Let’s face it,

Rove has helped deliver more catch phrases than Arnold, Steve Urkel, and JJ from Good Times combined.

So with the “success” of a two-term President that has dodged calls for impeachment and prosecution for so long, inquiring minds are wondering what finally made the offensive genius leave the sidelines of the White House?

The official reason given for the departure is that he wants to give more time to his family. Rove even said that since his son will be attending college in San Antonio this year, he and his wife want to spend more time at their home nearby. I guess he wants to make sure that his son joins the right fraternities and drinks all the right beer freshman year.

The first thought is that his newest strategy is to get out while the gettin’ is good. A criminal investigation put Rove under scrutiny for months about the leak of the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame, but he was never charged with any crime. Recent convict Lewis Libby took the fall for the entire Administration for that politically motivated hit, before having his sentence commuted by the president. This kind gesture bought Rove a few more months behind the scenes.

With mounting pressure on Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign after blatantly lying to Congress about the political firing of U.S. Attorneys that didn’t prosecute Democratic political opponents while prosecuting criminals/friends of Bush’s camp, Rove seemed to be next on the list of advisors to be forced to answer questions from Dems on the hill.

This mastermind, aka “boy genius” must definitely be using his foresight to see some rough times. Like every great entertainer knows, you have to leave them wanting more. Before “Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?” “Did I do that?” and “DYNOMITE!” put an annoyed look on everyone’s face, those geniuses had to hang it up.

Six years of insincerely shouting TERRORISM, 9-11, SUPPORT THE TROOPS, PATRIOTISM, CUT AND RUN, and IRAQ, with few real-life results has shown Karl Rove that this sitcom should be shooting its finale episode where we remember the past moments with one last laugh.

Keep talking, it’s the only way they’ll ever hear you.--JJJ

"MC ROVE" TO LEAVE WHITE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE MONTH

Karl Rove, President Bush's close friend and chief political strategist, plans to leave the administration at the end of August, the White House said Monday.

A longtime member of Mr. Bush's inner circle, Rove was nicknamed "the architect" by the president for designing the strategy that twice won him the White House.

A criminal investigation put Rove under scrutiny for months during the investigation into the leak of a CIA operative's name but he was never charged with any crime. In a more recent controversy, Rove, citing executive privilege, has refused to testify before Congress about the firing of U.S. attorneys.

Mr. Bush was expected to make a statement Monday with Rove. Later Monday, Rove, his wife and their son were to accompany Mr. Bush on Air Force One when the president flies to Texas for his vacation.

BLACKS & WHITE BOYS TAKE THE ROMNEY APPROACH TO MILITARY SERVICE: THANKS, BUT NO THANKS

Nobody's Feeling The Whole Going Off To War Vibe: Here Comes The Draft???

WASHINGTON (AP) - Frequent tours for U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have stressed the all-volunteer force and made it worth considering a return to a military draft, Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute said Friday in an interview with National Public Radio's "All Things Considered."

"And I can tell you, this has always been an option on the table..." Lute added.

Oh really, is President Bush aware of this?

When Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., called for reinstating the draft as a way to end the Iraq war some time ago, critics accused him of political grandstanding. Guess he was just ahead of the curve.

Black Military Recruits on the Decline

Now the official word is that repeated deployments are affecting not only the troops but their families, who have major say over whether a someone decides to stay in the military, Lute said.

Translation: Military wives are saying if you re-enlist, I'm leaving your ass. The reason is obvious - even the folks serving are starting to no longer believe in this war against "terrorism" we're raging.

And if former Massachusetts Governor and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney's five sons don't have to go, then why should others have to sacrifice?

"There's both a personal dimension of this, where this kind of stress plays out across dinner tables and in living room conversations within these families," he said. "And ultimately, the health of the all- volunteer force is going to rest on those sorts of personal family decisions."

Bush picked Lute in mid-May as a deputy national security adviser with responsibility for ensuring efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan are coordinated with policymakers in Washington. Lute, an active-duty general, was chosen (not surprisingly) after several retired generals turned down the job.

The military conducted a draft during the Civil War and both world wars and between 1948 and 1973 until President Nixon abolished it. The Selective Service System, however, was re- established in 1980 and has maintained a registry of 18-year-old men.

If we can have a female president, then the registry should also include women, right?

I AM SO SICK OF PRESIDENT BUSH AND YOU BLACK FOLKS WHO VOTED FOR HIM

...You know who you are. You fools who bitch, bitch, bitch, when you know 'dog gone well' you are the ones who voted for him.

And some of you voted for him for the first time, AFTER 911. We need an update from you Black Republicans, Independents and crossovers who read this blog, and know you were wrong.

I haven't seen a group of people soooo wrong, who deserve to have their voting rights revoked since those simpletons who voted for Ralph Nader in 1980, throwing their vote away and giving Bush the win.

Those "Nader Raiders" who just knew Nader was the ONLY candidate who had their back when it came to the ecology of the world. I wonder how you felt this weekend, with Gore hosting his "love fest for the future of the earth" concerts all over the world. Now, "Who ya' gonna' call to save that tree?"

When Gore wins the Nobel Prize, you simpleton Nader Raiders should be the first to have him drafted from the floor at the Democratic National Convention to run for president. Yes, I said it, Gore, Nobel Prize, and yes President in 2008 all in the same sentence. Am I crazy?

You said I was crazy when I predicted Gore's documentary would win the Oscar. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama can raise all the millions they want, but they can't buy the kind of press Gore is getting! And for the first time in seven years people all over the world are talking about an American leader (Gore) and us a nation.

So Bubba you can't get on the campaign trail with your wife Hillary soon enough.

Memo to Obama ... "Less of you, more of your fine, intelligent wife Michelle" that's what your secret weapon better be!

And You Black Folks who voted for Bush once and maybe twice, here is our blog to explain yourself.

So please leave a comment. Leaving your real name is optional... for obvious reasons.

IT'S OFFICIAL: BUSH, CHENEY ET AL ARE STRAIGHT UP GANGSTA!

The Sopranos and Snoop Dogg Have Nothing on
the Bush Administration

Shortly after the first accused terrorists reached the U.S. naval prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on Jan. 11, 2002, a delegation from the CIA arrived in the Situation Room. The agency presented a delicate problem to White House counsel Alberto Gonzales, a man with next to no experience on the subject. Vice President Dick Cheney's lawyer, who had a great deal of experience, sat nearby.

The meeting marked "the first time that the issue of interrogations comes up" among top-ranking White House officials, recalled John Yoo, who represented the Justice Department. "The CIA guys said, 'We're going to have some real difficulties getting actionable intelligence from detainees' " if interrogators confined themselves to humane treatment allowed by the Geneva Conventions.

From that moment, well before previous accounts have suggested, Cheney turned his attention to the practical business of crushing a captive's will to resist. The vice president's office played a central role in shattering limits on coercion in U.S. custody, commissioning and defending legal opinions that the Bush administration has since portrayed as the initiatives, months later, of lower-ranking officials.

WHY BLACK FOLKS ARE ANGRY: BUSH SPARES LIBBY & GIVES US ALL THE FINGER

This Is A Joke, Right?

Gangsta Lil G.B., aka President Bush, just put the nail in the coffin of any hopes for a Republican presidential victory in 2008 by commuting the sentence of former aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

Bush is an arrogant, stubborn, disappointment! And this is coming from someone who voted for him!!!!

The unfathomable decision now spares Cheney's boy from serving a 2 1/2-year prison term in the CIA leak case.

Bush left intact a $250,000 fine and two years probation for Libby, like that means something.

With the illegal immigration debacle, the Katrina disaster, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' incompetence, and the war causing everyone to seethe at the failed Iraqi surge, Bush is done!

Yes Scooter Libby committed perjury, yes he disgraced himself and his family, yes he obstructed justice which led to the guilty verdict -- so why is Bush giving this man the hook-up?

Is he prepared to do the same for Genarlow Wilson in Georgia? What about The Jena 6 in Louisiana?

Oh, that's right - they're not neo-conservatives who are throwing lots of cheddar at The Man.

Libby was convicted in March of lying to authorities and obstructing the investigation into the 2003 leak of CIA operative's identity.

He was the highest-ranking White House official ordered to prison since the Iran-Contra affair.

This is straight-up mafia, ghetto-stuff family!

Why didn't Bush just pardon Libby outright? This is an insult to the justice system, the jurors who worked on this case, the African-American federal judge who was appointed to carry out the laws that slaveholders enacted, and the American public.

Mark my words, CBS will also be bringing back Don Imus any minute now. Don't get it twisted, money trumps intergrity whenever you're runnin' with the big dogs folks.

Something reaks about this breaking news, especially coming hours after a federal appeals panel ruled Libby could not delay his prison term in the CIA leak case.

That decision put pressure on the president, who had been sidestepping calls by Libby's allies to take care of him the way he protected Dick and others in Bush's administration.

We wholeheartedly believe that Libby threatened to start singing unless somebody did something - real quick. C'mon, Bush acted with such cowardice on this piece. He released a statement on the eve on a holiday in a way that suggests this was a scam and a total sham.

Thank you George Bush. You just screwed-up my July 4th! Only impeachment will make me feel better.

IRAQ: BLACK, WHITE, HISPANIC, ASIAN & NATIVE AMERICAN SOLDIERS ARE COMING HOME BROKEN

Government Struggles to Care For Wounded GI's

By MARILYNN MARCHIONE (AP)

More than 800 of them have lost an arm, a leg, fingers or toes. More than 100 are blind. Dozens need tubes and machines to keep them alive. Hundreds are disfigured by burns, and thousands have brain injuries and mangled minds.

These are America's war wounded, a toll that has received less attention than the 3,500 troops killed in Iraq. Depending on how you count them, they number between 35,000 and 53,000.

REPUBLICAN SEN. RICHARD LUGAR SAYS IRAQ 'SURGE' NOT WORKING

More of them are coming home, with injuries of a scope and magnitude the government did not predict and is now struggling to treat.

According to Dr. Jeffrey Drazen. a medical editor and adviser to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, "The military simply wasn't prepared for its own success" at keeping severely wounded soldiers alive.

BULLET POINTS:

* For every U.S. soldier or Marine killed in Iraq, 15 others have survived illness or injury.

* Traumatic brain injury is prevalent, with only an estimated 2,000 cases treated.

* Back home, concerns about care are rising among Republicans and Democrats.

* Mental health problems loom large.

No one knows what the ultimate cost will be, with estimates the lifetime health-care tab for these troops will be $250 billion to $650 billion.

Shifting Focus From The War, George Throws Black Music Month Party

As of June 2, 25,830 troops had been wounded in action. Another 27,103 had non-battle-related air transports. Of those, 7,188 had injuries.

President Bush, we have got to bring our troops home. Now!!!

PROOF THAT CHENEY IS BOTH GRINCH & GANGSTA

Vice President Cheney's office has refused to comply with an executive order governing the handling of classified information for the past four years and recently tried to abolish the office that sought to enforce those rules, according to documents released by a congressional committee yesterday.

Since 2003, the vice president's staff has not cooperated with an office at the National Archives and Records Administration charged with making sure the executive branch protects classified information. Cheney aides have not filed reports on their possession of classified data and at one point blocked an inspection of their office. After the Archives office pressed the matter, the documents say, Cheney's staff this year proposed eliminating it.

The dispute centers on a relatively obscure process but underscores a wider struggle waged in the past 6 1/2 years over Cheney's penchant for secrecy. Since becoming vice president, he has fought attempts to peer into the inner workings of his office, shielding an array of information such as the names of industry executives who advised his energy task force, costs and other details about his travel, and Secret Service logs showing who visits his office or official residence.

The aggressive efforts to protect the operations of his staff have usually pitted Cheney against lawmakers, interest groups or media organizations, sometimes going all the way to the Supreme Court. But the fight about classified information regulation indicates that the vice president has resisted oversight even by other parts of the Bush administration. Cheney's office argued that it is exempt from the rules in this case because it is not strictly an executive branch agency.
