Despite Shawn Chapman Holley's Best Legal Efforts, Lindsay Lohan's Gets 90 Days in The Slammer

3 Hots And A Cot For Troubled Mean Girls Star

Actress Lindsay Lohan was just sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her probation in her DUI case, followed by a 90-day inpatient rehab program.

Judge Marsha Revel laid down the law to the troubled young starlet after deputy district attorney, Danette Meyers, told the judge that Lohan, 24, has been thumbing her nose at the court.

Besides both Meyers and Lohan's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley being African American women, there are some other behind the scene things going on that you should be aware of.

(Go Ahead - Click The Picture)

While Holley is a former deputy public defender who then went on to become a partner at the Law Offices of Johnny Cochran, Meyers is a respected career prosecutor.

Here's an up close and personal interview with Holley:

What the mainstream media doesn't know, however, is that Meyers is rumored to be the first black and female candidate that will actually have a shot at becoming the District Attorney of Los Angeles should current DA Steve Cooley become successful in his effort to win the election for California Attorney General.

Cooley is currently running against San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris, who is trying to make history herself as the first African American and female to hold the statewide office.

The last time a black and a woman ran was in the 70's, when former Congresswoman and LA County Supervisor Yvonne Braithwaite Burke was unsuccessful in her quest against former Republican governor George Deukemejian.

(Meyers, center, as President of LACBA)

Could it be a coincidence that Meyers, a felony prosecutor, high ranking member of Cooley's inner circle, and past president of the L.A. County Bar Association, was assigned to this relatively simple misdemeanor case? Especially since all indicators are that Cooley will paint Harris as being soft on crime - particularly in light of her position on the death penalty?

But we digress!

The evidence was loud and clear today -- Lindsay violated probation by failing to attend her alcohol ed classes based on the schedule set by the judge. There were lots of excuses, but ultimately they didn't fly.

The judge said there was a pattern of violations since Lindsay was placed on probation in 2007 following her plea bargain in her DUI case.

Lindsay broke down as she addressed the court, telling the judge, "I did the best I could."

Lindsay dissolved into tears when the judge imposed the sentence.

Lohan must surrender on July 20 in Judge Revel's court. Now whether she'll actually serve 90 days is another story. Everyone familiar with the legal system in California knows that for an offense such as this, defendants are serving maybe 10-20 days, if that. Here's Holley explaining how the system works:

Will the court make an example of Lohan the same way the court tried to do with Holley's former high profile clients Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, or treat her like every other person???

Stay tuned!

Meet Actress Lindsay Lohan's Attorney, Legal Eagle Shawn Chapman Holley

After missing her court hearing last week, a judge ordered actress Lindsay Lohan to wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet – called a SCRAM device – which Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, argued would interfere with the 23 year-old's ability to film her upcoming role.

On Tuesday — just one day after appearing in court, the clearly troubled Lohan stepped out in bright blonde locks.

She is next due in court July 6 for a hearing to determine whether she violated the terms of her probation by skipping alcohol education Holley suggested that Lohan be subject to random alcohol testing. "It would allow her to make a living," Holley explained.

Although the judge flatly denied the request, the verdict on Holley is she's the best of the best. See for yourself, in this 2007 interview with Kevin Ross, host of the upcoming America's Court with Judge Ross:

EDDIE MURPHY: PEOPLE WE WONT SEE GETTING AN OSCAR TONIGHT

But fear not, Eddie Murphy was honored and garnered other awards this week as he was the big winner at the Razzie Awards.

The Razzie Awards are the anti-talent award given out to the worst actors and films of this passed year. And don't get me started on the whole "Treddie Affair." You know, that debacle with Tracey Edmonds that still has the two of them embarrassingly gracing the cover of February's love edition of Ebony.

This honor, however, was for his multiple personalities on parade in the comedy Norbit.

Eddie Murphy won three Razzies: worst actor, worst supporting actor and worst supporting actress. No matter how funny a lot of people thought the movie was others blame the timing of its release just before last years Oscar voting, for wrecking Eddie’s chance of winning the Academy Award whwn he was nominated for DreamGirls.

Other big Razzie winners were Lindsay Lohan. Her film I Know Who Killed Me won, 8 awards including Worst Film and Cuba Gooding Jr., won Worst Sequel/Prequel for his film, Daddy Day Camp.

LINDSAY LOHAN ENTERS REHAB ... EVADES BLACK DEFENDENT AND HIS CREW

LINDSAY LOHAN has entered the Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol rehab in Sundance, Utah. According to sources within the facility, the 21-year-old star arrived this weekend to begin the intense rehabilitation program that is expected to last a minimum of 30 days.
The center treats men and women over the age of 18. According to the Cirque Lodge Web site, upon check-in, a thorough mental and physical examination is completed.

The Lodge was named by Town & Country magazine to be one of the country's top rehabs. For a price tag of $30,000 and up, the rehab offers privacy -- with rooms for 16 residents at a time. Rooms boast spectacular views, Jacuzzi tubs and private fireplaces, and stars such as David Hasselhoff and Mary-Kate Olson who was rumored to have suffered from an alleged eating disorder, have reportedly sought treatment there.

Meanwhile the Black man who Lindsay blamed to police as the driver, and his two friends feel she is "hiding out" and rehab is a ploy for court leniency. So they now prepare for their lawsuit a.k.a. how can three dudes get a "pay day" out of being wimps and letting a 105lb starlet drive them like a mad woman (as they egged' her on to do so). Although no lawsuit has been filed against Lindsay, the three are making claims that their "vehicle was taken without their permission and they were unable to remove themselves while traveling, [and they were] endangered in that way," making it "false imprisonment." They are also claiming, amongst other things, emotional distress and negligence. Wow! Did I call these three guys wimps ... I meant weenies.[d]

LINDSAY LOHAN: IS GOING GANGSTA THE NEW BLACK?

Lindsay Lohan’s Bubble

Lindsay Lohan has done it again, just a lot more extreme this time. After recklessly chasing two different vehicles in a car that didn’t belong to her while drunk and high on drugs, the actress apparently told police that she wasn’t driving, it was the Black guy.

Since the troubled actress has been in the news recently for her wild partying ways and excessive drug and alcohol abuse, many people have taken sides in this knockout battle she's having with herself. While everyone agrees that her latest decisions are dangerous, fans seated in the adoring home section naturally come up with reasons for her inevitable downfall.

A discussion on the talk radio show I produce involved one such supporter that pointed out this child actress has grown up in the spotlight, causing her to be in a bubble. She sees the world so differently that she thinks stealing a car, running over a lucky escapee’s foot, and taking the remaining hostages in the vehicle while chasing another car is just fine.

In fact, while terrifying the hostages in the SUV she boasted, "I can't get in trouble. I'm a celebrity. I can do whatever the f*** I want." If we continue to allow celebrities to live in this vodka and cocaine-laced bubble, we should simply begin to acknowledge the “bubbles” that many young offenders grow up in.

A young 18 year-old man might be arrested for selling drugs in every city in this country. Should the police take him in, rid his pockets of the narcotics, and then send him back home. His father is nowhere to be found, and his mother works two jobs in hopes to support her children. The young drug offender is the oldest and sees his little sisters can’t buy new clothes or multiple meals each day.

This is one hell of a bubble that covers a 'hood he didn’t choose to live in. What he sees is money can satisfy the needs and wants of his family. Does he have the right to say, “I’m from a bad neighborhood, I’ve never seen my father, and my sister is hungry. I can do whatever the f*** I want to help my family.”

People in this kind of bubble aren’t envied and praised like gods. They are labeled criminals from birth. If someone wants to give this young man an opportunity to attend a school where the teachers have the chance to actually teach, and where he is surrounded by peers that are planning careers that place them into a "prestigious" society, its called reverse discrimination.

Lock him up, throw away the key, and pat yourself on the back for getting another menace to society off the streets.

When Lindsay Lohan breaks the law, all that’s seen is a troubled starlet we’re all rooting for who has stumbled due to her life in the spotlight and irresponsible parents. Slap her with a chump-change fine, another rehab vacation, and hope she doesn’t kill someone in August.

Keep talking, it’s the only way they’ll ever hear you.--JJJ

WHAT DOES A GUN STORE SELLING AMMO IN INGLEWOOD AND LINDSAY LOHAN'S RECENT ARREST HAVE IN COMMON? ACTIVIST NAJEE ALI

Civil and digital rights activist Najee Ali, the mother of Cheryl Green -- the 14 year old hate crime victim who was shot and killed by Latino gang members -- and a coalition of community leaders will use non-violent civil disobedience to protest the sale of live ammunition by Big 5 Sporting Goods in the city of Inglewood CA.

But first Ali wants Lindsay Lohan to do some hard time on lockdown. We received this press release over the weekend:

"Media reports that Lohan commandeered the vehicle, but our opinion is that if entertainers Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Snoop Dogg or any Black celebrity had done the same thing it would be called car jacking.

They would have possibly been charged with either car jacking, driving without the owners consent, reckless driving, or assault with a deadly weapon.(the passenger Lohan ran over )

"This is a double standard of justice. One standard for rich white celebrity's and a different standard for everyone else.We want the District Attorney's office to increase and upgrade the charges " Stated Ali.

But we digress.

"Guns don't kill people. People who put ammunition in guns kill people. My daughter Cheryl was murdered by a handgun. The sale of live ammunition by Big 5 sporting goods and other stores in our community should no longer be tolerated". Stated Charlene Lovett, Founder of the Cheryl Green Foundation.

"We are calling upon state and city elected officials to implement increased measures making it more difficult to purchase live ammunition. We need to seriously regulate handgun ammunition. Any one with an I.D.can go into Big 5 and purchase ammunition, that includes gang members and ex-felons."

"Going to jail today to protest the continued slaughter of innocent children and victims of gun violence is a small price to pay. We will continue to protest Big 5 sporting goods and all stores that sale live ammunition in our community. We will not rest or give up until they remove the ammunition from the community." stated Ali, director of LA based Project Islamic H.O.P.E.

LINDSAY LOHAN: HOT GHETTO MESS PERSONIFIED

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Five days after being booked in connection with a May drunken driving charge, actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested early Tuesday morning on five charges -- including drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance, Santa Monica police told CNN.

Police spokeswoman Calisse Lindsey said police got a call at 1:34 a.m. PT that a vehicle was chasing another vehicle in a parking lot in Santa Monica. When officers arrived, they found Lohan driving the vehicle that was chasing the other, the spokeswoman said.

The officers smelled alcohol and administered a field sobriety test, which Lohan failed, Lindsey said.
