TIGER WINS U.S. OPEN WITH ONLY ONE GOOD LEG!!!!

This Biracial Wonder Is Simply UNBELIEVABLE!

It all came down to Tiger Woods vs. Rocco Mediate in the 18-hole playoff of the U.S. Open 2008 tournament, but it was not enough. Tiger Woods had a chance to tie Rocco on the 15th hole but failed to make his birdie put.

On the 16th, Tiger’s long put stopped right before the hole so he knocked it in for a par, still trailing by one stroke. Both Tiger and Rocco pared the 17th hole. Tiger birdied hole 18 while Rocco got a par.

Sudden death…

Tiger Woods birdies the first hole and Rocco Mediate fails to follow. And once again, the brother who has redefined golf, even with a hurt leg, roars!!!

Tiger Woods' Audacious Win In Dubai: Obama Ain't The Only Biracial Brother Kicking Butt

Black History Month Never Looked So Good

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- Tiger Woods birdied five of his final seven holes Sunday to rally from a four-shot deficit and grab a dramatic victory at the Dubai Desert Classic for a sixth title in his last seven events.

One week after winning the Buick Invitational by eight shots, Woods fired a seven-under 65 for a 14-under total of 274 and then waited to see if Ernie Els could catch him. Needing a birdie on the par-five 18th to force a playoff, overnight leader Els hit his tee shot into the water and made bogey.

"To go 2-for-2, it's a pretty good start, isn't it?" said Woods who won by one shot from rising star Martin Kaymer of Germany. Woods had already finished when Kaymer, who won the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship two weeks ago, closed with a birdie-birdie-eagle for a 66.

This is the third time Woods has started a season with two straight victories, and it was another sign that the world's No. 1 player could be headed for a big year. Woods now has won his last four official tournaments -- and he also won his unofficial Target World Challenge by seven shots in December.

Woods lost momentum with bogeys on the sixth and ninth holes, but he poured it on along the back nine to capture the Dubai Desert Classic for the second time. It was his 72nd career victory, 62 of those on the PGA Tour. [CNN]

Golf Channel's Tepid But Proper Response To "Lynching Tiger" Comments

Despite Tiger's insistence — speaking through his agent — that Tilghman's inappropriate comments were a non-issue, the Golf Channel did the right thing suspending her for two weeks.

Al Sharpton compared Tilghman's on-air remarks to Don Imus's "nappy-headed ho" controversy. Sharpton, as is normally the case, is wrong.

What Tilghman did, despite her 12-year friendship with Woods, was much worse ...

... than what Imus did. Imus, a radio shock jock known for crude attempts at humor, cracked a bad joke on a morning radio show. Tilghman is an anchor on the Golf Channel. No one expects her to be racy, controversial or stupid.

Also, Tilghman can't argue that she picked up the notion of "lynching Tiger in a back alley" from black popular culture. She came up with that nonsense all on her own. JASON WHITLOCK at FOX Sports has got more of this story.
